Third link between Joana and Madeleine: Paulo Pereira Cristovao

There is third link between Joana Cipriano and Madeleine-cases. (Two others are Amaral and Encarnação).

He is Ex-Chief Inspector PAULO PEREIRA CRISTOVAO

THE top cop in the Madeleine McCann case has been accused of covering up evidence that police tortured the mother of another missing girl into confessing to murder.

Leonor Cipriano later recanted her confession, but is serving 16 years’ jail for the murder of her daughter, who vanished in Portugal’s Algarve region three years ago.

The body of Joana Cipriano, 8, has never been found.

Chief Inspector Goncalo Amaral, who heads the Policia Judiciaria in Portimao — the nearest town to Praia da Luz, from where Madeleine vanished — could appear before a secret criminal hearing as early as next month.

He is accused of concealing evidence over allegations that three of his colleagues tortured Cipriano, over 48 hours’ continuous interrogation, to secure a confession.

All four — and a fifth accused of fabricating evidence — deny the allegations. They say Cipriano was injured when she tried to kill herself by throwing herself down police station stairs.

Portugal’s police have faced increasing criticism of their handling of the McCann case. Cipriano was unable to pick out any assailants from among the accused officers. Sources say the prosecutor is now investigating the allegation that police paid outside thugs to beat her up.

One of the police officers accused of involvement in torture in the Cipriano case is recently retired chief inspector Paulo Pereira Cristovao.

He has been writing a daily column on the Madeleine case for a Portuguese newspaper that has been reporting sensational stories leaked by sources close to the police inquiry, some of which have later proved untrue.
He makes it clear he considers the McCanns are probably responsible for Madeleine’s death or disappearance.

Like Chief Insp Amaral, he denies all wrongdoing in the Cipriano case."

So Chief Inspector Paulo Pereira Cristovao, who writes for a Portuguese newspaper Diário de Noticias false stories about the McCann case, is alleged to have been one of the torturers in the Cipriano case. And after that he DARED to write a book about Joana Cipriano (very sensational of course, full of propaganda against Joana's mother just like these columns he has written against McCann's)

"Also book tells of the generosity and commitment of these police that behind the apparent bluntness and irony that mark their bonds of companionship, show its deep humanity." (Google-translation)

Don't know what to say when I´m reading this kind of rubbish.

And now (since December 2007) he's a HEAD of Portugal's new foundation for missing children (Portuguese Association for Missing Children)???

I don´t know what to say again.... I feel there is no justice left in Portugal, just corruption, nothing else.

Article above is very insulting and aggressive and it shows how disgusting (this is my opinion of him) guy he really is, full of lies and hate against Madeleine's parents.

I believe and I'm sure Joana's mother was a victim of terrible miscarriage of justice. PJ attacked to her to cover the truth about Joana's disappearance and Joana's mother had no chance to defend herself against this huge lynch and propaganda machine, because she is portuguese. Amaral has been accused of covering up evidence in her case. So what were these evidence Amaral covered up? Proved they Joana's mother innocence?

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/multimedia/pa/article268226.ece

Amaral has changed to Rebelo, but nothing changed. They all are same stuff in PJ.

I hope somebody could help Joana's mother and saved her from jail. She has suffered all too much.

It is very silent, like calm before the storm.

PSALM 64

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.

1 Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy.
2 Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity:
3 Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:
4 That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.
5 They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them?
6 They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep.
7 But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded.
8 So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away.
9 And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing.
10 The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.

And why Portugal still STINKS?

BECAUSE: 2005 The Socialists gained their first absolute majority in parliament since democracy returned to Portugal in 1974. And these Casa Pia paedophile politicians were just Socialists.

In 2002, center-right Social Democrat leader José Manuel Durão Barroso became prime minister, after the Socialist Party suffered defeats.

Victory in February 2005 elections went to the SOCIALIST PARTY by Jose Socrates. The Socialists gained their first absolute majority in parliament since democracy returned to Portugal in 1974.

When a powerful politician was ar-rested last week in connection with the child-abuse scandal that has rocked Portugal since last November, it brought hope that the country's creaky, excruciatingly slow justice system was finally getting into gear. The detention of Paulo Pedroso, Socialist M.P. and former minister, was hailed by lawyers and commentators as a sign that the wealthy and influential were no longer untouchable. And so what if the police used investigating techniques that might be deemed unacceptable in other countries? Although not commenting on the merits of particular arrests, Lisbon lawyer Francisco O'Neill Marques says, "Rich and powerful people have been detained. It makes me proud to be a lawyer."

Pedroso's was one of several high-profile arrests after an interminable, eight-month police investigation into a pedophile network operating in state-run children's homes known as Casa Pia. Also placed in preventive detention was Jorge Ritto, a former ambassador to South Africa, along with a doctor, a lawyer and a TV anchorman.

The arrests came after police used controversial powers to tap the cellular phones of prominent opposition politicians, including Pedroso's mentor, Socialist leader Eduardo Ferro Rodrigues, and Antonio Costa, head of the party's parliamentary delegation. Under Portuguese law, the police are allowed to listen in on anyone's phone conversations with special judicial permission, if they believe doing so will help solve a serious crime. The Socialists smell a witch-hunt: Ferro Rodrigues said he had learned of plans to implicate him in the scandal, although Attorney General José Souto de Moura insists he is not a suspect. Party spokesman Manuel Alegre said there could be no democracy if "everyone is listening in on everyone else." Francisco Louça, spokesman for the minority Left Bloc Party, described the phone tapping as Portugal's "judicial Watergate." But the Attorney General maintained that the police had acted within their powers. He told reporters: "I myself could be [tapped] whether or not I was under suspicion, if the conversation would help discover the truth."

Portugal STINKS No:2

Portugal reeling over child sex abuse scandal:

The senior socialist MP Paulo Pedroso, number two in the party
and a former labour minister, was taken from parliament by police
and held for investigation three weeks ago on 15 counts of
suspected child-sex abuse.

The abuse accusations centre on Casa Pia, an austere building in
a leafy Lisbon neighbourhood, home to children without families,
or with parents too poor to care for them. Claims that boys
suffered decades of sexual abuse while the authorities did nothing
has thrown Portugal into deep shock.

Carlos Silvino, known as Bibi, was detained last autumn accused of
abusing children in his care and supplying them for sex to
socialites. Among those held on suspicion of abuse are Casa Pia's
former director, its doctor, Portugal's favourite television host,
a top comedian and a senior diplomat.

Casa Pia came under scrutiny 20 years ago when a young inmate died.
He apparently threw himself under a train after running from a car.
Officials found the home's doors open all night and youngsters in
a cruising area for male prostitutes.

Four children aged between eight and 12, missing for a fortnight,
were found in a luxury flat in nearby Cascais owned by a diplomat.
They said Mr Silvino had taken them there.

Last September, the mother of an inmate accused Mr Silvino of
sexually abusing her son. He was detained in November but insists
he is innocent. Last week he indicated he might turn state witness
and implicate influential "friends".

Pedro Strecht, a child psychologist, said "Many wouldn't speak,
for fear or shame. We are trained to recognise if children are
exaggerating or inventing stories. The testimonies we have heard
demonstrate the magnitude of the tragedy."

Portugal's elite linked to paedophile ring

Abuse was reportedly going on at Lisbon orphanage for 20 years

Giles Tremlett in Lisbon
Wednesday November 27, 2002
The Guardian

A scandal over a paedophile ring run from a state orphanage gripped Portugal yesterday as it threatened to engulf diplomats, media personalities and senior politicians.

Photographs of unnamed senior government officials with young boys from Lisbon's Casa Pia orphanage were among the evidence reportedly available to police after they arrested a former orphanage employee called Carlos Silvino.

A number of former residents, and the mother of one boy who is still there, have denounced sexual attacks on children at what is known as Lisbon's most famous orphanage.

Mr Silvino, it was claimed, abused children himself and procured boys for a powerful group of clients.

He has publicly denied the allegations and was expected to repeat that denial at a closed-door bail hearing in Lisbon yesterday.

What has most shocked the Portuguese have been the revelations that systematic sexual abuse of children at the home had allegedly been going on for more than 20 years and had been known to police and other authorities for most of that time.

A former president, General Ramalho Eanes, was allegedly among those who knew about abuse at the home but failed to stop it.

The identity of the mysterious group of powerful paedophiles remained a secret yesterday, with only one person prepared to admit she knew at least some of the names.

Former secretary of state for families, Teresa Costa Macedo, said she had sent a dossier containing photographs and testimonies from children to the police 20 years ago but they had done nothing about it, while she was subjected to a campaign of threats.

"He [Silvino] was just one element in a huge paedophile network that involved important people in our country," Mrs Costa Macedo explained in a newspaper interview. "It wasn't just him. He was a procurer of children for well-known people who range from diplomats and politicians to people linked to the media."

The material sent to the police, which yesterday appeared to have been lost, was damning proof of the activities of the paedophile ring, Mrs Costa Macedo said.

"There are photographs, an account of the methods used to spirit children out of the orphanage and testimonies of a number of children," she explained.

Mrs Costa Macedo said that many of the photographs were found at the house of a Portuguese diplomat in the town of Estoril, 20 miles from Lisbon. Four children who had gone missing from the orphanage were discovered at the house, where they had spent several days allegedly under lock and key.

President Eanes was introduced to five boys who told him of the abuse occurring at the orphanage in 1980 but failed to act on it, according to Mrs Costa Macedo.

There was no suggestion that General Eanes, a popular and respected figure who did not comment on the allegations yesterday, was involved in the paedophile ring.

Portuguese police insisted yesterday they had no record of the documents sent to them by Mrs Costa Macedo.

She said she had been the target of a campaign of intimidation to make her stop investigating the case.

"I received anonymous threats, by phone and post. They said they would kill me, flay me and a lot of other things," she said.

That campaign had started again yesterday, she said, with threatening phone calls made to her home.

Portugal has increasingly been under the scrutiny of anti-paedophile groups who have denounced its lax laws and uninterested courts for creating a paedophiles' paradise in Europe.

Belgian and Dutch paedophile groups are reported to have operated in Portugal, with foreigners travelling to the island of Madeira to seek out young children.

Investigators from the Swiss-based Innocence in Danger group, which claims children regularly disappear from the poorer streets of Portuguese towns and cities, say they too have been harassed and threatened.

Mr Silvino claimed his accusers were making up their allegations. "It is all lies," he said.

The orphanage's director and deputy director were sacked on Monday as the government pledged to clear up the case as soon as possible.

Leonor Cipriano's husband: 'These cops framed my wife'

http://tinyurl.com/2uv2zg

"By OLIVER HARVEY
Chief Feature Writer
September 08, 2007

THE husband of a Portuguese woman jailed for the murder of her child spoke last night of his fears for Kate McCann.

Leandro Silva said his wife had been set up and he believed police would do the same thing to four-year-old Madeleine’s mother.

He said: “I am worried Kate will be framed for a crime she did not commit, the way it happened to my wife.”

Leandro also demanded that one of the detectives leading the Maddie investigation should be dropped from the case.

Detective Goncalo Amaral has been accused of being involved with beating Leandro’s wife, Leonor Cipriano, during her interrogation over the death of her daughter, Joana, nine.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Leandro said: “Goncalo Amaral shouldn’t still be investigating the McCann case.

“I believe he will be proved to be a bad policeman and a bad operator.

“I don’t believe Kate and Gerry have anything to do with Madeleine’s disappearance.

“I just don’t believe they would do such a thing. After losing Joana I know the pain they are going through. It’s terrible.”

In news that shocked the world Kate McCann was yesterday declared an “arguida” — Portuguese for suspect — in the hunt for Maddie.

And the story of little Joana Cipriano has some chilling echoes of the British child’s disappearance.

Joana vanished on September 12, 2004, just seven miles from the spot where Madeleine went missing on May 3.

The innocent, brown-eyed youngster, her chestnut hair cut into a boyish crop, set off from home in the village of Figueira to collect groceries.

But she never returned. Like Maddie, it was as if Joana had disappeared off the face of the Earth."

THIS is PJ's style to investigate disappearance's of portuguese children!

PJ is full of evil! They are all sadist's! Please save Joana's mother, she is victim of miscarriage of justice, because she only wanted to find her daughter!

Very nervous Malinka: I don´t rape little kids (Who claimed you does?)

http://news.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,91210-1266349,00.html

"Russian computer expert Sergey Malinka insists he is innocent and has no idea where she may be.

He claims he only has a professional relationship with the main suspect, Robert Murat.

He also insists reports he has past convictions for sexual offences are lies.

Portuguese police say they are investigating telephone calls between Mr Malinka and Mr Murat on the night Madeleine vanished.

It is now 15 days since she was snatched from her family's holiday flat in Praia Da Luz.

Mr Malinka, 22, told Sky's Amanda Walker he wanted to clear his name and knew nothing about Madeleine's disappearance.

He said the first time he heard about the youngster was "the following day of the tragedy".

False information had damaged his name, he claimed, adding he would ask the media to leave him alone.

"I want to get on with my life...and I want to clear my name," he said.

He said he felt "hurt" by the media.

He described his relationship with Mr Murat as "strictly professional".

He said he had a clean record, adding: "I don't rape little kids. I'm a normal man."

Malinka an Murat are BOTH LIARS!

Mr Murat had made a late-night call to Sergey Malinka, 22, a Russian computer expert living in Praia da Luz, shortly after Madeleine vanished. The call, from Mr Murat's mobile phone, is alleged to have taken place at 11.40pm. Yet earlier in the week, Mr Murat had claimed that he had not spoken to Mr Malinka "for months".

So why don´t ANYONE investigate these liars and their connections? PJ just protects them!

By the way, do you think Malinka looks like 22-years old? I don't think so! He look's much older, maybe between 30-40.

Is Romigen just cover - for what?

I found this from here:
http://missingchild.wordpress.com/2007/05/17/romigen-and-missing-madeleine/

"May 18, 2007 at 5:07 pm

I am living in Switzerland, but my mother tongue and origin is German. I checked the German website content of “romigen.com” and found it
- overall technocratic in language expression and full of wrong grammar and inappropriate words - compared to a fluent German mother tongue. The whole text appears as translated from a machine and thereafter never read though or revised for corrections. (The site was established already in Spring 2006)

- if this girlfriend of Robert Murat - Michaela W. - would be really German, and genuinely interested in real estate business via this website - they would have put genuine interest into a thrustworthy language concerning their enterprise.
I would neither buy nor ever offer an item via this address.

I am much doubtful this site was never designed for what it pretends to be dealing with…

May 20, 2007 at 9:13 pm

I don’t understand how a business website has so many grammar errors and is completely empty. It seems Robert Murant left a job that granted him 6000€/month to dedicate entirely to this business. They are not selling anything. I’ve searched all the portuguese states and they don’t have anything available to buy/sell/rent… Some code of the page appears in russian, and it’s impossible to understand.

September 9, 2007 at 5:20 am

NOT sure if it’s been said in here, bu when you check that website (www.romigen.com) with http://www.waybackmachine.org
you’ll find out that the first update was 18 may 2007. And that nothing was on it before that date…"

Romigen-pages are not exist anymore.

Child porn on computer?

It has been reported that several links to paedophile websites, encrypted emails and messages were found on three computers removed from Murat’s home during a dramatic police raid on Monday.

It was also claimed that video tapes showing depraved sexual acts and bestiality were also found at the Villa Liliana, where Murat lives with his elderly mother Jennifer.

http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/7230

MADELEINE McCann suspect Robert Murat viewed child pornography on his computer, it was revealed yesterday.

Briton Murat, 33, visited a string of depraved websites.

He lives yards from the Portuguese holiday flat where Maddie, four, was snatched.

A police source said: “Examination of Mr Murat’s computer has confirmed an unhealthy appetite for deeply disturbing material.

“There is no direct link between what was found and Madeleine.

“But officers are describing it as a ‘relevant sexual history’.”

Murat’s ex-boss Paul Titcombe, 49, called him “a huge porn fan, addicted to women.”
